These should be fairly easy, yet I have no clue. Okay, here I go .....

#1 Touch & Go by Ecstacy, Passion, & Pain: The best version to get is the 8:00+ version. Is this the one pressed on the Roulette Records version? If not, where is it available and WHO did the remix?

#2 It Aint No Big Thing by Donna McGhee: Same as above .. I know Danny Krivit did the must have re-edit, but where can I get this? Was it an official release or a booty?

#3 Like This by Chip E: The other day I heard a variation on this track. Basically, the voice saying 'Like This' was sped up and it kept repeating those words over and over while the tempo on the voice went up and down (the beat was consistent). The bassline is the same, but sounds a bit more 'generic.' Does anyone know who did this version? What label did it come out on?

All replies are appreciated. Thanks for your time. Peace!!

magic_juan smile.gif The Danny Krivit mix of "Touch and Go" is the best version IMO. The editing was on point, more emphasis on that classic piano riff!!!

Yeah, I think that is the same one I am talking about. The piano intro is long and then the vocals kick in. I thought it might have been a D.K. edit, but was unsure. Is this contained on the 12" on Roulette? If not, where can I get this?

I'm drawing a blank right now due to the fact that I do not own this 12 but if it's a green label then that's the one you want.

Yeah ... I think it was a light blue/greenish label. The B side had two Bobby Caldwell tracks (one was 'What You Won't Do For Love'). Looks like a bootleg, but I don't care as long as it contains that re-edit. Thanks for the info, Groove.

Hi Juan,

The Donna McGhee 'It aint no big thing' edit was pressed on one of the 80's boot labels, I cant see my copy but its probably TD or Vault.

Also Toshiba/EMI in Japan has recently put out another edit by Danny of 'It aint no big thing' .

Thanks for the info S Parris ....

Yo, Klas .... way ahead of you on the Donna McGhee Cd. I got it 3 weeks ago from Dusty Groove along with the BumbleBee Unlimited LP on Cd. I am still waiting for them to get both Universal Robot Band Cd's in, but they have been out of stock for a while. If they release Pam Todd on Cd, I will be set.

Peace ......

The bootleg edit by Krivit of It Ain't No Big Thing is on R&S records. It is pretty easy to find. Gramaphone usually has a few copies in stock. However, the Krivit edit of Touch & Go on Roulette is not a boot. It is a reissue that came out in the early 80's. I haven't seen that record in years. But there is a boot of Touch & Go that is currently floating around. However, I'm not sure if it is the krivit edit or the original. I'm guessing that it is the Krivit edit since that version is the more popular version. I've seen this record at both Gramaphone and at Dusty Groove. The Like This that you heard was probably the instumental version on the ep which came out on D.J. International. But there could be another version. I vaguely remember M-DOC releasing a remake of Like This but I'm not sure. However, I'm sure Chip E would know for sure.

A Side
Touch and Go (New Mix) 8:42

B Side
