For all the singers out there

I was humming along with some tracks yesterday, and I was thinking how good it would be if I could sing along properly, if I had a proper strong voice. So I wanted to see how many singers there are out there, and ask what does it feel like to be able to sing properly? When did you realise you had been blessed with this gift?
