I've kind of given up on baseball since I liked (I guess I still like) the Expos and they're a team with two home stadiums now. What a mess. And they were so good back in the early 80s.

Hey Phil, I love the YANKEES! They do look good this year, on paper that is.. Let's see, they may not disappoint me this year.. I Hope not.
Bernnie and jeeter gonna have a good year.
Watch Out!
Baseball Season is Finally Here..!!!! My boy got traded to the Cubs from the Giants. I played junior college baseball with him at Vernon Regional Junior College at Vernon,Tx (91-93). He is the ONLY player I know personally that made it to the "SHOW".But in November of last season the Giants came to Houston to play the Astros. Some old teammates and myself went to Houston to check out Ramon. It was sweet, we got to the yard early saw him take Fungo, take some BP! It was cool, almost emotional. That game he didn't start, but played the last three innings, made a few plays, and hit a double. We meet him at the hotel 2 hours after the game. We saw Bonds in the hall, and got to meet Rich Aurillia. I will be watching Ramon on WGN from Texas. smokin.gif Chicago Cubs: Ramon Martinez (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/chc/team/chc_player_bio.jsp?club_context=chc&playerid=134002)

Can't watch baseball anymore. For one thing, the so-called labor agreement signed last year has no teeth. That's why George Steinbrenner can still stockpile his Yankee machine and the Royals and Pirates can't (and I'm a New Yorker saying this).
Speaking of George, how 'bout the personal war between him (YES) and Jim Dolan (Cablevision CEO), resulting in millions of viewers with no Yankees on TV (how can you live in the Bronx and NOT have Yankeeball?????? graemlins/jpshakehead.gif ).
And how about the Players association telling the owners "get outta here before I smack you". You can get a pension after only ONE DAY in the big leagues. I know that Playes union has come a long way, but dammmmn!!!!!
Add to that a buffoon used car dealer impersonating a commissioner, and you have a sorry game of baseball.
Oh, yeah, Donald Watkins is a Black man who wants to buy a team (the "contracting" Twins). Why is he being given the runaround????? I smell a C-O-N, Spiracy!!!!!

graemlins/cool_shades.gif Expos will turn heads and win hearts in their final year in Montreal.A healthy starting rotation: Vasquez,Arams,Ohka,El Duque + boppers like Guerrero and Vidro+clutch outings of the bullpen + an improved defense, you have a formula for a squad that pounded the crap out of a team that won over 100 games last year.

Jeter is hurt! Oh No! Who the **** is going to play short? Derek did so many things for the Yanks that just don't appear in boxscores. He is truly the heart & soul of the Yankees. Interesting too see how the Yanks respond.
