How do you “outlaw” a word? Sure, it’s a derogatory epithet, but I’m not even too sure if “outlawing” a word is even possible by way of legislative means, without compromising freedom of speech rights pursuant to the Constitution.


I think the utterance of something say in a threatening context (e.g.: “I’ll blow up this plane!” or “I’ll kill you, faggot!”) might warrant some action, but I for one, would be vehemently opposed to sanctioning people just for merely uttering a slur. It would set an extremely dangerous precedent.


On topic, yeah, I agree. Any form of badgering of the elderly is a big NO-NO.
