So I'm going to see Anita Baker tomorrow night and was wondering...has anyone seen her perform lately? If so, how was it? I was surprised to see her touring since I had heard nothing about her in years.

Not lately, but in 1988, at Jones Beach, Long Island. Her performance was great, and more than that, her interaction with the crowd and stage presences was wonderful. I have a feeling that hasn't changed from 15 years ago. Have fun at the show. Peace.

All I can say is daaayyyyyummmm!

I got back from the show about an hour ago. If Anita Baker comes to your town....go see her. Everything was tight...lead vocals, background, piano (grand), synths, drums, sax (gerald albright), the crowd...I was really really impressed and somewhat in awe. Anita Baker is definitely a class act. I was digging her vibe big time. You can tell she is really into the music and not about being a star.

It was just nice to see a live, unhyped performance.

aaaahhhhh
