Lately I've been tuning into the a few online radio shows and loving them. It's a nice change from the 74 minute straight up mix. Also find that my non househead friends are willing to listen to them and in turn, get exposed to more house.

Check out -

Higher Ground (http://www.highergroundradio.com/radio/radio.html)

Gilles Peterson Worldwide (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/urban/peterson/)

Craig Charles (http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/presenters/craig_charles/)

Aaron Ross - Soulful House (http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/djs/aaronross.shtml)

The Basement (http://www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra/features/basement.shtml)

All of these shows provide tracklistings. The Basement has recently had DJ shows from - Roy Ayers, Ashley Beedle, Danny Krivit, Lenny Fontana, Chuck D and more.

Aaron Ross has had recent guests like Matthias Heilborn, Lois Bennedetti etc...

Gilles always has good guests - Amp Fiddler, Cody Chestnut etc...

I've listened to a couple of the Aaron Ross shows and enjoyed them. Ivanjb, were you the one last week that provided a link to that? That's the way I found out about the show.

Yeah I posted that one last week.

I think it's cool to hear the DJ's speak about the music on the shows. Or to hear the guests speak out.

The Roy Ayers show is great because he goes on about his experiences back in the time he made the records. He'll also comment on and play tracks from artists who sampled him ie. ATCQ etc.. The basement is killer. Bob Jones throws down some serious classics on one mix.

On the more current radio shows you get to hear about productions in the works and so on rather than just a playlist with cd-r this cd-r that.
