I phoned up the venue at 18:00, to check 4 HERO are playing still, as I wasn't going near the place if they wasn't.
Me: Are 4 HERO playing tonight ?
Med Bar: YES
Me: What time will they be on ?
Med Bar: Around 00:00
Me: thanks, bye
So, myself, Jason, Richard, E-fabulous Nev M amble up to the venue.
00:00 We go onto the 1st floor balcony and hear Nothing but dulled and poor turntable use
00:45 Go into the main the room
00:50 Experience the worse Bongo playing ever
00:55 Starts getting concerned
01:20: Can't take anymore of this generic club shuffle crowd and some DJ running cus they're late.
Go and grad a guy on stage who looks like he may know.
ME: 4 HERO playing tonight
Him: No THEY CANCELLED LAST NIGHT
Me for fcuk's sake...
Went to the door where they collected the money different people who didn't seem to know what day it was never mind who was playing and who wasn't ..
I then found this doorman who looked like a mini me of the Blonde guy out of Steps. He was confused and got the head doorman, nice enough guy but obviously just doing door and didn't have any connection to the people who had hired teh venue. I asked for my money back and he said next time he'll let me in for nothing, nice enough gesture on his part at least.
But, there won't be a next time , oh except I am playing there next week graemlins/rofl.gif then ... too far gone ain't no way BACK.
THE MEDICINE BAR ARE NAMED AND SHAMED AS A ****ING JOKE VENUE, AS AN ORGANISATION - CLUELESS !
p.s: - the last time I went to see Jeru the damaja, I was already aware that the snowboarders styles crowd don't know how to get down but when he played , he called em , dragging heclers to the front and calling em out, even told one geezer that it wasn't a Nelly concert and he should leave graemlins/rofl.gif .
