I was never an official member of Apostolic Church of God on 63rd Dorchester, but most of my Chicago relatives have been going there for years. In fact, my great grandfather Sam Clemons founded the church. One of my aunt's is Brazier's daughter and its going to be sad to see him retire, but he's preached and lived a very productive life. Here the CLTV story: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-brazier-retiresmay16,0,1979039.story
That's my cousin Jeannie Nuckolls with the black and white outfit on in the video.:)

Yeah, I'm gonna miss it myself, being in NY. My cousin is part of the tv crew. I'm trying to get her to send me a tape of the last sermon. It's gonna be packed.

My wife and I were baptized and my boys were dedicated by Brazier.

A lot of people don't realize Brazier is a major reason 63rd st. has been revitalized in the last 20 years. He had them tear down the subway tracks between Cottage Grove and Stony Island, and built townhomes in that area. I remember when "Six-tray" was one of the roughest neighborhoods in the city. Brazier pioneered the change from that.
