I have returned to church and the part of my life as a DJ will soon end. God has work & a plan for me, the DJ Booth is not in that plan.

DHP has been a blessing, it enabled me to meet new friends, reunite with Chip E, Farley, Steve, Vince, Frankie along with others who I have not seen in many years. I harbor no dislike for some I met here - that we got on a bad beat.

I have a special thanks to Wynell for giving me a chance after 15 years away to show off skills.

I thank G-Man for trusting the T-Shirt crew (Ultra, Dee Dee, Mynia & I) in the efforts we made as of the original DHP T-Shirt.

I walk away without a heavy heart. Silly as we get at times, we do love eachother and are forever there when any member is in a time of need.

I cannot say that I will miss spinning, that would be a lie - which explains the lack of sending a mix to be posted for my second anniversary here or an entry in the edit contest.

This is new news to many but it is a transition that I have been making for a long time now.

I do plan on attendind all up-comming summer outdoor events as Leonard and not as a DJ. To all who know me well - this is no suprize.

God Bless you Leonard and continue to be a blessings to others. You have heard your calling and you will inherit God's Wholeness in your life. No matter how much you think you are not worthy at times, God sees worth in you all the time and he sees your heart. I have to remind myself this from time to time. ;)

I wish you well on your journey but I do not understand why our music or deejaying and God have to be considered mutually exclusive of each other.

Leonard,

You have been a friend, innovator and teacher to many especially this DJ. hail.gif I'm glad to see your relationship with GOD is being strengthened and I pray for your continued journey. Do know that you can still spread the gospel and his word as DJ Farley Kieth is. biggrinangel.gif I'll never forget the kudos he gave you at the Hurley/Kieth reunion.

I'll never forget when you offered to be my guest DJ at Sauers back-in-the-day and you were just as big as Farley, Steve, and Andre. You being there brought my performance to a level I remain at today. DeAndre, Myself and you lit that place ablaze with some of the best house music, mixin' and jackin' Chicago had ever seen.

It's always been a pleasure seeing you at a party, especially when I knew you might play.
I've sent you a private message, get back with me soon.

Oh and Keep my secret. I'll see you at the DHP Picnic, I'll dedicate a part of my mix to you! hail.gif

I tend to over consume alcohol and engauge in sexual activities with women that I come in contact with for no particular good reason.

I do not need any of that in my life anymore. I need to be a better Man, Father & Husband (I broke every rule of marriage) I am tired of hap-hazardly driving this road called life - only to crash & burn if I don't make good of the life that God blessed me to have.

I remember a sermon a couple of years ago called:

"I'm Blessed Because I'm Called
I'm Called Because I'm Blessed."

If God is takin you to the next level, then go with it.

And whatever issues you have, they will be worked on. We know He can and we know He will. Just remember, you have nothing to be ashamed of due to your issues, because we are ALL works in progress.

Peace.

And half the priesthood is either in those meetings……………..or down the block at the bar getting drunk.
