Anyone know of Hernando DeSoto and his work? Based in Lima, Peru, this guy is like a rock star when visiting third-world/developing countries. he's giving the answers to the host countries that the IMF/WB don't ever seem to come up with.

A totally fresh approach.

The most important economist right now in the global economic order.

I'm newly aquainted myself, so I thought I'd see if anyone else knows about him, and what you think.

Cuz, this website is international, so...

he works w/ILD

check out my organzations website christian, you know it

he's a CIPE superstar - he was a grantee of ours (his group) and is our 'success story'

i have tons of stuff he wrote thats not found elsewhere, or we used to a few years back

just heard him boom in the speakerphone the other day ... i hear hes reallly interesting, and .. really tiring after talking to

you should get along famously if you ever interact ;)
