You need to add Chicago to your schedule.

You may wanna head to DJ Hut (www.djhut.com) in Washington, DC.. Deep Sugar is coming to the Paradox in Baltimore on Saturday June 14 (www.sugarparty.org) Quentin Harris is spinning in Baltimore that night.

Val Shively's R&B Records in Upper Darby in Philly is the best records store I ever went to.

There's a record store (only visited once) off Greenmount Avenue near 31st street in Baltimore. It's fairly dusty in there so I know you'll find some gems. *smile*

For Philly shops google these addresses and hit these up:

Beautiful World Syndicate (both locations are ill for disco 12"s and I often spend entire days at these shops digging. Stuff is priced to move)

Tequila Sunrise (i like to call it Phonica Records West)

Sweet Jane Vintage (my boy mike who is Philly's reigning disco king runs this awesome shop and mention my name and he might let you have a crack at the unpriced stuff

D.C.:

Joe's Record Paradise (actually in Rockville, MD great selections)

Memory Lane Records and Tapes (District Heights, MD also great stuff and chock full of old go-go records)

DJ Hut - good for new stuff, not too much old stuff for diggers

Som Records - Awesome basement shop run by one of DC's most music savvy dj, Neal Becton. Chock full of disco 12"s, international rarities, tons of brazillian and soul/rnb.

Hope these help! If you are in the DC, drop me a PM and I'll take you digging...

Is this Dimensions?

If not, I highyl recommend steering way clear of Dimensions unless you are looking for Baltimore Club. Prices were ridiculously out of character and the shop assistant tried to pull some fast shit on me, such as telling me a certain DFA record was an import...

The best record store in Philly for what you want is Sound of Market - SOM (11th St below Market) and Armand's (between 10th/11th and Market). If you go to SOM, ask for Randy Flash, Terrell Clark or Jimmy. Terrell knows the classics like the back of his hand and has some stuff for you. Randy is off-the-chain with his selections and Jimmy, well Jimmy, is just downright fun.

And if you're looking for some parties, try the Bubble House and Club Mantra on Sunday. Again, Terrell Clark will turn you out.

Have fun in Philly.
