So I see on Sanctuary's site (http://www.dcsanctuary.com) that GU is going to be here, yet I haven't really seen much promotion or email traffic related to this. That seems strange. Is this happening?

Did anyone go? I had a bad case of food poisoning and couldn't get out of bed (until this morning). Really sorry I missed the chance to hear GU live. I picked a bad weekend to be sick because there was alot happening in DC Sat. nite (Momi's birthday also). GU, hopefully you'll come back in the not to distant future. Care to comment?

After a whurlwind night in the city (DC) hitting 3 clubs, I got to the Sancturary to see GU bang bang bang the hell out of his set full of new releases, Cdrs and CLASSICS!!! Chi-Town Style!!! I had a BLAST!!! It's good to hear some of my Chi-Town Homies Get down like that! Makes me very proud to be a Chicagoian!

He also had test copies of his Rain-Down (vocal) edits! If your were not there...you missed a fantastic set by CVO....GU!

hail.gif </font>[/QUOTE]Yeah I know the DC was on fire Sat. nite!!! I had been waiting all week to hear his set. But like the other thread, about Dancing while in Pain. Whatever the parasite was that I got from eating breakfast Sat. morning, I think I would have given new meaning to "clearing the dancefloor" for real. Thanks for the update, glad you had a good time! Maybe I'll get to check out Larry Heard.

I went! I went!
I've been really excited to hear Glenn U spin. I bought his Lounge Excursions cd years ago and really dug it. I've seen his name around (a lot on this board). A few months ago I saw a picture of him at the Staple party a friend of mine helps throw in San Fran. I figured damn .. this dude must be hot stuff ... I wanna see him. So you can imagine how happy I was to hear he was coming to DC!
GU did me right all night!
Sanctuary was the best place to hear him.
It's nice when the music is so good it allows you to move and feel good no matter what mood you were in when you walked in.
It was nice to re-meet Ncho too. smile.gif
Hey Marv ... I was there till the very end ... Was Glenn only giving away records to dudes? Hahahaha

Ohhhh ... I now see where I made the mistake.
Next time the introduction to Glenn will go something like this:

Me: Yeah, yeah, what up G.U. ... I'm a Dj, I'll play that shizzle ... Feedback to come on a messageboard.
Glenn: Well of course, here, have 5 rekkidz.

Hahahaha ... @ your Knock the stuffing out of people comment. I knew this! At one point I looked up and was thinking 'he's trying to hurt us good on purpose!' When I grabbed my purse for the first time to leave, you said ka-pow! and there went my stuffin' all over the floor. Damn I had a good time. Again, thanks to you and Sanctuary. Looking forward to your next time here.
