I can remember 2:

Daft Punk in Montreal a few years ago (their first mix of the night) was absolutely horrific, to the point that I felt bad for them

Jerome Sydenham in Montreal: he had the dancefloor packed with a new gem by SuSu Bobien ("keep it to myself"). Right at the pinnacle of the song, he ACCIDENTALLY made the needle scratch and skip.

OOHHHH (actually that wasn't a trainwreck I guess, cause it had nothing to do with the next song)

But the Daft Punk, man that was some weak shite.

I think it is completely normal and expected.

You gotta be gutsy and take risks.

granted, pure accidents are unavoidable and a piss-off.

I remember when I fuc*ed up once, because some girl came into my booth and spilled her liquor all over my records. Underneath the turntables, was a puddle of sticky liquor mad1.gif

I snapped, and messed up the groove, then proceeded to take the needle off the record and publicly humiliate the bimbo.

It took me a full day to clean every record properly and replace with new sleeves.

If anyone of you ever trainwrecks again just get on the mic immediately after and says, " DID I DO THAT? " You must use the Urkle voice for it to work though.

A normal saturday night 4 me!

Wednesday night I had ONE. It was an easy one too and everything else was just locking no problem and the room is bouncing (fortunately it WAS early) and then ... there she goes! That's life. I've learned not to take it so seriously - that's for the Chicago jocks (and Keith) to do. ;)

Last night I was totally ON for most of the night and then I forgot where the cue switch was on this Stanton mixer right in the middle of a mix, and totally lost it. Damn! That's so frustrating. I almost wanted to cry. It really killed my mood and I proceeded to fuk up even more :( . I think it's for the better though, because I was gettin too careless on the decks anyways, so it's time to pay attention to tightness once again.

Shake it off. Many a superstar has struck out, missed the pass, dropped the ball, etc. Doesn't mean the game is lost... unless they take it to heart.
