View Full Version : Cubs vs White Sox Joke for the Chicago People

An elementary teacher starts a new job at a school in Milwaukee and trying to
make a good impression on her first day, explains to her class that she's a
Brewers fan. She asks the class to raise their hands if they too are Brewers
fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.

The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says: "Mary, why didn't you
raise your hand?" Because I'm not a Brewers fan," she replied. The teacher,
still shocked, asked: "Well, if you're not a Brewers fan, then whom do you
support?" "I'm a Cubs fan, and proud of it," Mary replied.

The teacher could not believe her ears. "Well Mary, might you explain why are
you a Cubs fan?" "Because my Mom and Dad are from Chicago and my Mom is a
Cubs
fan and my dad is a Cubs fan, so I'm a Cubs fan too!"

"Well," said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, "that's no reason for
you to be a Cubs fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the
time. What if your Mom was a prostitute and your dad was a drug addict and a
car
thief, what would you be then?"

Mary said, "I'd be a White Sox fan."

I have more respect for the Brewers and the Devil Rays than the Yanks. That team is full of bombers and no hitters (except for Jeter). Way too much arrogance on that team.

BTW, the Dodgers have 5 world championships (6 if you include Brooklyn), so I'm not sure where you got your info about us not having any.

graemlins/tongueout.gif </font>[/QUOTE]puhleez! With Brown or Nomo on the mound this year, and Green, The Crime Dog, and Lo Duca to drive in some runs, plus Gagne to seal it up, you guys have no chance to win. Why do you think we gave you guys our trash? Karros and Grudzy. :D

Crime Dog shuts down after the All Star break (that's why we gave him to you guys), and LoDuca and Gagne will be shutdown and burned at the plate by Prior and Wood's 95+ mph HEAT.

I got the Cubbies schedule, and it looks like were set to SWEEP the Dodgers in the beginning of August. :D

He hasn't even completed one whole season so who knows how he'll be by the end of the season. As far as Wood goes, he's been licking it as of lately and hasn't been the same ol' Wood since a couple of years ago. The only thing you've got going is Slammin' Sammy, but even he hasn't been too consistent this year, and you damn well can't count on Mr. Injury himself, DL Alou.

With Gagne's cheese at your knees, you'll be begging to hit the showers to prevent further embarassment. Oh the humiliation the Cubbies will suffer I tell you, the humiliation. :D

Mussina vs. Prior = Yankees win (top notch pitching and better run support)

Clemens vs. Wood = Yankees win (top notch pitching and better run support)

Wells vs. Clement = Yankees win (maybe Clement gets lucky, but that's doubtful)

Pettitte vs. Zambrano = Yankees win (Pettitte has more experience and better run support)

Weaver vs. Estes = Could go either way, but Yankess have better run support, so they get the W.

Rivera vs. Borowski = Yankees get the save (Mariano and his cutter fastball is still better than most closers in the league)

You cannot compare the pitching staffs on this one. The Yanks, as much as I hate 'em is a team that I wouldn't bet against. graemlins/nono.gif

Looks pretty even to me. With Giambi not hitting over 250. Yanks really only Got Soriano, Mondesi (who hit 250 last year) and Posada. Williams is hurt. Then you got Jeter who just came back from injury. They had a hot start but you see they are cooling down now.

Looks pretty even to me. Check the stats. graemlins/acclaim.gif
