Just got off the phone with the brother, he thanks everyone for the shout! He also says he's having his b-day party next Saturday at Slicks. Andre spins from 2am til close every Sat at Slicks but says he'll be on all night next Sat.

Happy Birthday to a DJ who never thought he was a big as his name. You will always have a special place in my heart because you always made sure to show me what the hot shit was back in the Playground days and talked about me if I didn't have it the next week I saw you. Those days we use to hang out at Lee (Collins') place on the north side and just DJ all day long were some of the best times in my life!

For those who don't know, one day at the Playground Andre's records were late getting there. He had maybe 5 records and one of them was a Stacey Lattisaw LP, I don't know how he did it, but he rocked the party for about an hour on 5 records!!! hail.gif

To this day I don't know how he did it, it reminded me of how Jesus fed the masses with 2 fish and 3 loaves of bread. biggrinangel.gif
