Just ran across a video that used to break me down and casue me to think about THAT person and cry or come pretty damn close.

Nice to look back not be able to even imagine that busted up feeling felt during the storm.

I have a few tunes but what are some of your songs, might turnout to be a pretty fun thread.

This song nurtured me through my divorce. I still get misty when I hear it.

Her song "This Time I'll Be Sweeter" never became my reality with a old flame that I held on to from 1985 - 2004.

You know how fellaz are afraid to admit that their heart got torn out the frame so, I guess this thread will consist of me and the ladies of DHP.

Yes I like that song as well. I don’t understand why men feel like it weakens their masculinity to display their emotions whether it is joy or pain. Personally I find a man that isn’t afraid to exhibit emotion VERY sexy and masculine. I wish more men would show (nurture) their “softer side”. They’d be surprised at the response they would receive from their significant other. Thank You for sharing.

Well, if i'm hurt - i'm hurt and I ain't gonna fake the funk.

Once this song did not play true to my emotions, I knew I was over her and could truely go forward.

To have these lyrics going threw my head the first time I was in Iraq.............I am shocked that I made it.
The words are plenty enough to push one over the edge.
This song used to be So True to what I felt the year of 2005.

It's foul to be with someone and when things go wrong - beat yourself up because you are unhappy with who you are with and can't get who you want.

Boy oh Boy was it a rollercoaster ride to that special one that I am married to now.

Woo!

It has been a pretty rocky road for me as well. I stopped going out all together. It’s only been a little over a year now that I have rediscovered my love for house and dance. The music is my lover now and I am truly becoming comfortable with being single and the many pleasures it affords. I do miss the intimacies of relationship but you can’t have everything. Thanks for the music.

Looks like it's just you and me on this thread.http://deephousepage.com/smilies/hidesbehindsofa.gif

I was at a military Bar B.Q. in 1993 and a member of my squad dedicated this song to me, saying this was the song of my life.

Funny how someone I only knew in passing hit the nail on the head.

Sad that some aspect of this song is still a reality in my life but...I'm working on it.

I remember that one, well. They really don't make them like this anymore (or maybe I am just not as sensitive in my maturing years)

It's not you, they don't make em like that anymore, songs of Life, Love, Joy, Loss, the whole nine.

Love, I tell ya.

That is the bad part about doing anything entertaining that puts you in the public eye, you meet a bunch of fake people that are into what they see and not the person behind the flashing lights.

After years of plastic people, I met a woman under regular condidtions and it was great. She knew nothing about House Music etc and she fell inlove with Leonard.

We had big plans but she died.
There is still a great deal of equiptment that I have to buy to replace what I broke the night I got the news.
My studio is still shot.

My life went right back at a Toni Braxton song.
I then climbed into a bottle of Crown Royal, gave up, and went on a mission of self destruction and cared not who came in it's path.

At the bottom of my life...unwilling to get up just to fall again, my wife came into my life and showed me that it's ok to love again.
At that moment the song of my life changed to.

When I get back from Iraq this time...she will have all in my studio that was broken - replaced. I can honestly say that I really lucked out.

I was no cake walk for her but...I am not what is the norm anyway from what I see.
It's hard for me to let go, especially when it's someone I love.
My wife is not in a compete with a memory senario.
