just because someone makes a promise to love you doesn't mean they always, every moment, with every fiber of their body, will act lovingly toward you.

The same thing happened to me last Sunday. I dropped my wife off at a baby shower and a couple of blocks down I saw an old girl I used to do. I pulled over, she got in and told me how glad she was to see me and started feeling me up. She gave me her new cell number and wanted me to come over the next morning after her kids went to school. Seems she broke up with her man because he did her cousin. She was pissed over that and was going to sic her brothers on him. I didn't take off work for some nookie but I called and we'll get re-acquainted at a local motel. Hmmmm, maybe tonight before I head over to FFUN at Frank's Lounge? ;)

[/QB]would this be the same as say, a man "acting all romantic" and being emotionally available, partaking in the mating game, only to "turn the cuddle machine off"? i see the same on/off action in both men and women. the old adage: women need love to have sex; men need sex to feel love seems to apply a bit here. both sexes contribute to the ancient dance between men and women. both have an agenda.

i think male sexuality is also a wonderful thing provided it does not cross over into hostile behavior (and thanks for your coherent and understanding comment on that subject). but sexual expression between men and women CAN be a very tricky subject if both parties are not on the same page. If they are willing to agree to disagree at times in the best interest of the relationship (it's impossible to always been on the same page...so sometimes you compromise) this seems to me the best arrangement, but the ability to even discern and discuss different needs/wants, and make room for each other's difference, implies a relationship, or at least a very mature level of communication.

and that was what got me about this post: does finding bliss at someone's expense make it right? if ya'll on the same page, great. but if there is a disparity, and this is so common, this is where people (both the man and the woman) need to take more responsibility for their feelings and the feelings of the other.
