My tune in time will be the same around 5 like it was on fridays. Lately i have been listening to some tradtional haitian vodou/yoruba spirituals from cuba and brazil and capoeira songs and came across some mixes from the spiritual of life label and anthony nicholson that i really like. Therefore, regarding requests if your time permits I really like the lakou-a (vokal mix) from jephte guilaume, odo oya from ola jagun, slavery days and tribes of chant (world mix) from anthony nicholson.

Pupil my sight with orange balls of light and echo my plight through the corridors of metaphor what else are we living for- saul williams

At last I began to say that my most important talent or habit was persistence. Without it, I would have given up writing long before I finished my first novel. It's amazing what we can do if we simply refuse to give up - octavia Butler

"Have you ever been kissed by God? Passionately (tounge, lips, etc)? Or are you one who simply condemns God to the realm of the invisible? Perhaps it is in the warm embrace of your lover or in the assuring touch of your mother. Perhaps, like me, you have likened this person to God in your life and realized that God was loving you through them.
Or maybe you don't believe in God...
Have you ever lost yourself in a kiss? I mean pure psychedelic inebriation. Not just lustful petting but transcendental metamorphisis when you became aware that the greatness of this being was breathing into you...---the first kiss of the rest of your life.
A kiss that confirms that the universe is aligned, that the world's greatest resource is love, and maybe even that God is a woman.
With or without a belief in God, all kisses are metaphors decipherable by allocations of time, circumstance, and understanding"
saul williams from (said the shotgun to the head)

I have all of those songs you mentioned. We will get those played on the next show. Jepthe is sending me something new that should be out in a month or so of a new artist on "Tet Kale" his own label. Have you heard the titled song to his album "Voyage of Dreams"? Thats my favorite piece off the album. It's a world jazz tune thats very spiritual. Which version of the Odo Oya have you heard? I remembered playing the Boyd Jarvis version on the show before but the original is also one to look out for also.
I think Jode added slavery days as a daily rotation on the station but we can play that during the live show. There is a more slower passionate version that I might drop for you and then accent it with the the more popular version.
Here's Jepthe's website you could check out if you haven't already:
