Went by my new secret spot last night...they told me they were putting some dance 12s out on friday so I went by after work on thursday graemlins/grinyes.gif
here's what I got-
Persia LP - Casablanca w/ "Inch By Inch"
Sleeping Bag's Greatest Mixers Collection II w/ "Cornbelt" & Konk "Your Life"
Lola "Wax The Van" Jump Street WLP
First Choice "Dr. Love Special Remix" Salsoul WLP
Loleatta Holloway "Love Sensation" Salsoul WLP
Trilogy "Not Love" Il Disc - Blue Vinyl!!
Chinese Revenge "Koto" Memory Records
Kasso "Baby Doll" Carrere
Gazebo "Masterpiece" Quality
Gary Low "You Are A Danger" Quality
Do Piano "All The Time" EMI France
Laser "Laser" Moby Dick---- Pretty MAD ITALO!!
Nobody "We Say Nothing" Silent Records -- Uses parts from "Baby Wants To Ride" Pretty interesting!!
Tom Brown "Fungi Mama-bebopafunckadiscolypso" Arista
Projet "Love Rescue" PBI WLP
Kongas "Why Can't We Live Together" Malligator--- Pretty good Cerrone cover of the Timmy Thomas song.
Madonna "Everybody" Sire
Freestyle "It's Automatic" Music Specialists WLP-- I usually don't buy freestyle records anymore but I had never seen this label before..it's from Miami FL, I'm pretty sure it's the original label...figured someone will want it down the line...
The guy where I got these told me that they all came from a guy who works for a moving company ... the guy said they run into records alot after they move people out that are just left over and they usually go in the trash graemlins/spanka.gif so the guy at my spot told him from now on to bring them in instead of throwing them away and he'll atleast get something out of it....

No single on the Persia, except for the various boots of it.You lucked up Klas.
A friend of mine told me that there is a single that was a re-edit by Ron Hardy. Is he telling the truth or is he full of shit?

There was a boot of Hardy edits that came out around 92.It had Inch by Inch, hurley's remix of Jungle Dj,the lp version of Go Bang, and Big freak.Pressed by Trax records. The sound quality sucked.Larry Sherman was known for using DBX on everything.
I used to have all of those crystal clear on tape. One of my cases got stolen.I never recovered any of those early house tracks and Hardy edits. One of my buddies had about 50 Hardy reels.

Hey Jamie that would be way solid bro...if you come across one... I know it sounds bad, on the CD I have it sounds like you can hear the radio playing on the intro to the Jungle DJ edit... sounds like back in the day when you taped over a tape that already had something on it and in the silent parts you could hear the bleed through from the original recording....

Nobody "We Say Nothing" / "Sad, But True" Silent Record... it's in one of those import sleves... but no country and no year to be found..the only other stuff it says is - ELE 001 Contact: 021-440 3615... I don't know any area codes that start with zero... maybe it's a country code , but I have a feeling it's just to **** with people...
I just listened to it again and it's pretty dope there is a laugh that goes along with the "we say nothing" vocal... can't wait to put this in a mix.
I'm out... you guys be cool! graemlins/cool_shades.gif

It took me a day to find that persia record, searching for 'persia' and 'lp' on google. After about 30 pages of carpets and history i finally came across a mint copy for $6...

In the early 90's the number that is listed on the record would have been the correct code for B'ham UK.
021 440 3615 - Now it would be 0121 440 3615
strange...any chance its from the UK ?
cheers

klas, give up the spot for me. you know i've got 1/20th of your record knowledge and don't pose a threat. pm me if you want.
anywho, someone dropped off quite a few early 80s 12s at Record Surplus a few weeks back. Picked up a Wax, Sleeping Bag and some Cerrone records (all original pressings).
