i agree witcha about tamia. i had the honor to share the stage with her at the essence music festival 2 years ago. she knocks the socks off a song live and she is a genuine person too. she kicked it with me and my wife like she had known us all her life.

I dont think its marketing on Deborah or tamia's part.They both have had substantial commercial hits.What fucked deborah is her association with dance music maybe.She did that nobody supposed to be here remix and went crazy.This girl deserves large stages,big crowds.Not the adulation of some white queens in a crystal meth induced stupor in a dark sweaty nightclub.Maybe tamia doesnt go hard because she doesnt have to,she is married to Grant hill afterall.

I thought Deborah was really on her way especially after the success of "Nobody's Suppose To Be Here" which to this day is one of the longest running #1 R&B hits ever. I was also suprised Tamia never became bigger as well especially being a protege of Quincy Jones. She get play on the adult R&B stations and had about 2 or 3 nice singles that I thought would do even better from her latest album. I loved the D.F.A. remix of "Still" and liked the original too and thought that song woulda done better.
