Alfonso...heh! heh! thanks for the good words...actually, that mix came about being that i was dubbing one of the live sets that Rated M did in Orlando this past July and i had a blank side so i decided to do a mix to make it complete and it did not hurt that i've been strung out on the anticipation of the winter music conference :D ...by the way, have you ever heard of the "Special K" album by Kevin Toney from 1982 on Fantasy? the "take a chance" song was written partly by him and sounds a lot like one of his singles from '82 called "on your feet"...i've been on the lookout for that special k album at a decent price...
i can definetly put that mix on cd for you along with the "runaway" song by Gary's Gang in there; not a problem there brother :D graemlins/thumbsup.gif i wish you would be down at the conference..damn! that would be a blast:)
we'll touch base soon...hope all is well with you and your loved ones....much blessings brother!

Very nice Kelvy. You have got to be one of the most focused people about the style of music you like. Have you been listening to that I-radio station? Peace.

hey Walter, thanks for the good words....actually, i haven't had enough time to catch the radio show as of late although i've been recently been hearing the "soulful saturdays volumes 5 and 6" mixed by Eddie Boom for Rutgers College radio in Jersey which i really like....but i'm definetly going back to listen to the station without a doubt!
how things look at your end? hope all is well with you...we'll touch base soon....

Martin....i still can't get over the Cool Notes ep you sent me recently and can't thank you enough especially for the Rah Band single you just mentioned....i've heard the name mentioned before but never got to hear them....after the conference, i'll be sending you some goodies out your way... :D
Sammy! every used and thrift shop seems so empty these days... graemlins/rofl.gif but seriously, how does that "cupid" record sound like? you really lucked out to find that Bobby Youngblood...speaking of him i heard that new Ann Nesby song called (i think?????) "Praisin' His Name" and she interpolates the chorus from Bobby's song with the hook "I can't stop praising the Lord"...i love it!
catch you soon brother and check your email! :D
