That's a scary question and I don't know the answer. The way it's going the music will be old like me when that time come so it will be like them old folks that have club sets and talk about the good ole days and everybody knows everybody..OOP's it's like that now. See ya tomorrow night boy.

I think the party scene changes when you get older. You never really "get too old" for the music (to go out an chill, have a few drinks etc.). Your dance moves however "just ain't what they used to be" (and your ability to recover and do it again the next night or two nights later). I just say do it until you're no longer interested, you'll know when that time is.

Just keep watching the ones that are older.

The place we went on Sunday has a lot of the old Jazz dancers from early mid eighties, so there in there late 30s or early 40's - best dancers then best dancers now, 20 YO standing on the edge of the dancefloor taking notes.

I watch the ones that are older, when I'm the oldest I will be more converned.

it's only a number though.

I'm 37 and semi-retired from the scene now. Priorities change as you get older. I'll keep going out occasionally until I look and feel utterly ridiculous doing it. One thing I've found though is that most of the people I party with are in my same age group. We've grown up and brought the scene with us. So I guess as long as there are people from my era willing to get together, I'll be there. See you at the Free-for-Alls in 2033.

Being that I've partied for almost twenty years now, (I was 13 when I decided to be a career alcolholic and party girl). I feel old now. Very rare people will see me at a party these days. I've stop drinking recently and drugs haven't been in my system in over a year. I am busy doing new things now and preparing for the future. I want to be an entrepre-ni**er graemlins/rofl.gif or a leader of significance. So I am polishing up my act now.

Wassup bruh? That's why it is important to keep in touch with the young scene and to never stop dancing. I find it hard to dance to newer generation DJs primarily out of ego(to be bluntfully honest) I guess. But you put Timmy Regisford, Derrick May, or anyone I look up to and my ass is on the floor straight JACK! oops sorry I don't jack anymore...I'm older now, but ...you know what I mean.

When i got married 3 years ago ...I used to say I had no interest in going out any longer and that my priorities were different...

3 years later i'm out 2- 3 nights per week playing and having a ball ...

i'll probably never give it up..it's in my blood and has been since my sophmore year of high school..

And
04-26-2003, 10:59 AM
Probably won't give it up completely. I'll just keep adjusting and finding the scene within the scene that suits me.
Plus as I've decided to stop aging after I turn 30 in November, who knows if I'll ever stop.

Never, this music/scene will always be a part of me in one way or an other. There is A LOT of work that needs to be done to educate these newer generations.

It's as though we've lost a generation.

I turned 47 April 4th, and celebrated at Frank's lounge listening and dancing to Donna Edwards, Lil Ray and Andre Collins. I was on dialysis almost 3 years, got a transplant 3 years ago, have hypertension(under control)and inject insulin twice a day if needed. It's all about how you feel and I feel good. I was playing that Tony Humphries mix on the main page at the light at Bridge and Fulton Mall in my Jeep today. Those kids were wondering where that old cat got this dope music. They were staring and bouncing wjile crossing the street. Makes you feel good that House can educate and stay curent with the times.

Middle Age:

25 things you should have learned by middle age!

1. If you' re too open-minded, your brains will fall out.

2. Don't worry about what people think; they don't do it very

often.

3. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than

standing in a garage makes you a car.

4. It ain't the jeans that make your butt look fat.

5. Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.

6. My idea of housework is to sweep the room with a glance.

7. Not one shred of evidence supports the notion that life is
serious.

8. It is easier to get forgiveness than permission.

9. For every action, there is an equal and opposite government

program.

10. If you look like your passport picture, you probably need

the vacation.

11. Bills travel through the mail at twice the speed of checks.

12. A conscience is what hurts when all of your other parts feel
so good.

13. Eat well, stay fit, die anyway.

14. Men are from earth. Women are from earth. Deal with it.

15. No man has ever been shot while doing the dishes.

16. A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand.

17. Middle age is when broadness of the mind and narrowness of

the waist change places.

18. Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.

19. Junk is something you've kept for years and throw away three

weeks before you need it.

20. There is always one more imbecile than you counted on.

21. Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize
a mistake when you make it again.

22. By the time you can make ends meet, they move the ends.

23. Thou shalt not weigh more than thy refrigerator.

24. Someone who thinks logically provides a nice contrast to the

real world.

25. If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've

never tried before!

So easy a protic can do it (QUAD)
