Any info on Gina X - No GDM ?

I have this track by Gina X - No MOre GDM . 1981.

It's odd enough, that it made the cut and got placed on my shelves. It's pretty wierd though. It calls itself "Glamerous Disco Punk".

Anyone know it? The history? How it was recieved?

Very big in London and I guess was pretty big in clubs like The Mudd Club in NYC. Gina X Performance was basically a slightly dotty German woman. I think she did two LPs. Anyway, No GDM is about English actor/New York illegal alien Quentin Crisp - the 'Englishman In New York' from the Sting song.

Personally I prefer Nice Mover which is probably the flip side of your 12".

Tigersushi reissued No GDM last year.

Actually, this is from the TigerSushi set of releases of the same title. Vol.3 has Gina X on 1 side, Metro Area's "WE Also Not" (2002) on the other.

Both very good.
