I am noticing on dhp post about One person quiting djing because of the difficulties in the scene. others on dissencion amongs dj's, The failure of the house movement, why does the house scene have the most whiners..

What is really going on???

I love the music plain and simple. I dj/produce 4 the love. There is no other music that touches me like house does. I too use to get jaded by peoople in the scene. I always come back to the same thing the music never did anything to me but makes me feel happy.

I dj because I like to make other people happy on the dance floor and to give people what I love about this music. I produce because I want to give back to this thing called house. If I get popular with my mixing/productions. It will only help me make other people happy on the dancefloor in different places..

I like dhp because It brings people who loves this music together. Some people like me some do not. Oh so well thats just life...

When the world is running down house music is always the best thing around........

good question.
- i love House because i love music and House is music.
- i'm not a Deejay, though i do play out from time to time.

i'm one of those selfish people you have been hearing about who plays what they want regadless of what the crowd thinks. though i can honestly say, i have only ever had non house heads complain about the music, everyone else loves what i play.

i produce music cuz i have a serious fascination with sound and the things you can do with sound. the moods you can create, the way you can manipulate and mold sound to your liking. though i have written and released house, it is only one of many styles of music that i write. and i actually have not written anything that would typically be categorized as house in about 6 months or so.

You don't usually choose to love something--it just comes naturally. I love house music because I have no choice but to love it, simple as that.

I dj and get involved in the scene because I want to give back to the music that has given so much to me. I know there are great obstacles, but ultimately it's between me and the music, that's why I will never leave it.

house music piqued my curiosity around the age of 12. a couple thousand records later, it's just a bad habit!

seriously. house. deep house. i love playing one record and blending in the next. creating vibes. taking musical excursions. stepping outside of myself for a moment in time. tweaking the eq. watching people dance. listening to others who vibe as do i. watching in amazement as people respond to the records i play in succession. instrumental or vocal. musical or track. to me it's still a phenomenon.

I LOVE MUSIC!!

Through the good and the bad music has been a part of my life.

There is'nt a simple explanation of the rush that I get when I'm spinnin'. Orgasmic. As I ride the blend, i'll give the audience some aural foreplay by switchin' the fader back and forth, the kick, the snare, givin' them a lil tease, the smiles on the dancers faces is what keeps me pleased.

I'm not alone in this struggle to bring SOULFULL music to the masses. The weak will always keep hatin' while the truth survives.

My friends know if they want to start an arguement or get me pissed off say something negative about house music. I love this shit with a passion.

I love the music and moreso what the cultures done for my life. I grew up on Hip Hop and had a very hard upbringing. Where my life was headed at one point was not a good place and I was then immersed in the house culture and it took me on a new path and changed my life for the better. So it's a way of living for me. I've kinda quite applying the business model to the music and now any involvement I have with it is strictly for contribution. I still am running a business though.

I wanted to put this post out because to me House music relives my strees. I learned this when I was in high school. Every one else pisses me off but the music makes me forget about all my problems. If the music relives stress why should should we turn against it or give it up if other people involved in the scene are being flaky or if society loves or rather is programmed to hip hop.

I actually have a house gene. The researchers couldn't figure out what it was on my dna makeup, so I took off my headphones and brought it closer to the microscope. You could see through the microscpoe that it (the gene) started moving to the beat. graemlins/acclaim.gif
