I just picked up one of the most strange disco records I have ever heard. "He's The Groove" by Snuky Tate on Emergency records(1980)
Has anybody else ever heard it? In case you havn't, here are some of the lyrics;
"He's the groove, he's the man, he's the pope in the vatican"
"He ain't no joke cause he's the pope"
I wonder why these guys wrote a disco track about the pope

Don't know this particular record,but am always interested hearing anything on Emergency.

The fact that the owner of Emergency,Piero Colosanti,is from Rome,may explain the theme of the record you are talking about.

Anyway that you can put a sound clip here ?

I mentioned this months ago in another thread,
one of the worst records I've ever heard in my life( a record about the pope)
mind you they used to play this on CKMF for a while when it first came out.
it was somewhat of a novelty record...a joke....
