I am lookin to spend like $150-200 max
Everyone says get an old Marantz or NAD
But there are like hundreds and the reviews are always positive so I can't really tell.
The speakers I will be needing to power up are Wharfedale Diamond 8.

Hey ISH!
For home I got a jvc amp I got from a Pawn shop while in Ruston LA. I paid 75 bucks for it and it still runs pretty good. I have used this several times for my amp monitor at parties and it has not let me down yet..
If a pawn shop is not your thing Best Buy has some good receivers in the $100-$300 range..

Also you can try an old Pioneer Amp. They run hot But man do they run!!!! I used to keep mine on for days at a time with no problems. I still keep one at hand now cause' nothing beats that RAW analog sound!

Ish,you should go check out Decibel. The store is on Milwalkee av. right across the street from the Silver Room.Good used audio pieces in there, nice prices, and they have warantees on the equipment.
I have been buying analog equipment from them for over 6 years now.
