The man puts out quality stuff year after year. But my favorite track is from his first album "100lbs": the last track "See you on monday". graemlins/thumbsup.gif

not a big fan of herbert, but i do like 'back to the start' and 'the audience'.

not a huge fan either but i like 'leave me now' for its haunting melody & dani siciliano's voice.

i saw him in concert a couple yrs ago....apart from being v dissapointing musically, there's nothing more annoying than musicains who preach politics all night.

I do appreciate the versatility of Herbert, although a good part of his productions sound really noodly to me...

"CAFE DE FLORE" is by far his best record for me( so so nice! ), but I also love his jazz big band project-especially "Misprints".

His production as Matthew Herbert Big Band - "Goodbye Swingtime" is IMHO phenomenal. "The three w's" is great music to my ears. I see that "The Audience" is big not only on the posters of this thread but pretty much all around, I remember many djs hearing it and getting good response to it. "In the kitchen" is another masterpiece.

Hands down 'Around' from his incredible album 'Around The House', where he had a perfect balance between groove and his sometimes annoying intellectualism.
I think Herbie just needs to relax and be less angry with the world of music and the world in general.

Around is one of my favorites.

I am a recent Herbert convert. This guy is incredible, and IMHO one of the greatest music producers of our time.

Leave Me Now - Bodily Functions is great album. However, I'm a bit skeptical about some of his stuff under the Dr. Rockit moniker.

Also, his remix of Serge Gainsbourg's Bonnie & Clyde is great.

Herbert did a couple of remixes for PAGAN records about 6-7 years ago.....SMOKIN.

Presence "future love"

and some other one that I can't remember off the top.
