Would you choose your friends or your lover ?

What is more important in your life, your friends or your lover ?
From Lyot's "Can you steal someone else's girlfriend ?", I was schocked when reading that some people would rather choose to keep their friends, than to choose to love someone.

What do you think of that ?
Would you loose a friend to live love ?
Would you reject a friend who don't like your lover or disagree strongly with him/her ?

I had a journey in Greece with some friends, and I fell in love for a lady in Athens. My friends told me they wanna go some other place and I told them I will get back to them whenever possible. They all got pissed off and we had bad words. They couldn't understand why I was giving up with our journey for a girl. I told them to go phoque themselves, that if they really know me they could understand.
Who would you have follow, the girl or the friends ?

My choice will always be love, as my friends should understand that we're are not married !

So, what are YOUR conditions to give up with love or with friends ?

friend over lust (Definetly)

lover over friend.. hmmm it all depends... I don't think I would side with my lover just because he is my lover... especially if he is wrong... Because I love someone doesn't give them the automatic you are right card.. If your wrong your wrong..

Another thing is to consider is this.. there are many friends that never will tell someone that their lover is cheating on them b/c then fear he/she would believe there lover...

What would you prefer? A friend that will tell you such thing because they know you would be objective or someone that will hide if from you b/c they fear you will chose your lover just because....

To love someone is great...

True friends are long lasting. Lust lasts for only a season.

I undertand the pull to entertain a lover's desire vs. my friends, but I hope that I would be clear enough to choose my friends.

I think the answer to this is unfortunately wrapped up in the semantics of the word "friend".

I try not to use the word "friend" so freely. Real "friends" are there before you meet your lover and after you leave them.

You can have many loves and lovers in your life - you're lucky if you have 5 real friends.

I am blessed to have a relationship that started as a friendship - but if you have to ask one vs. the other mutually exclusive, and I didn't consider the lover "a friend", then I'd always, always choose the friend.

If it's my wife then that's a no brainer. I would pick her. Duh! If it's a gf then I'm not sure cause it would depend on how eye-to-eye we are with each other. If it looks like we're gonna be husband and wife one day then it would be her. If not, it would be the friends. Friends are cool but they won't be there for you all the time. Some might but you may not want them to be. Having a loved one to communicate with about anything and everything is much better. Just my too sense.
