After hearing "Management's" voice, I rewound the video over and over, I think Management is a woman. It/she/he sounds like the Actress Linda Hunt ( Year of Living Dangerously, Kindergarten Cop, Dragonfly). Her deep raspy voice is very unisexed so its hard to tell. That might be interesting, she has played a man before, so you never know. Just things that make ya go hmmmm.

I enjoy "Carnivale". I mean, it is a little vague at times. I get a little pissed at the strange, disconnected references that are thrown casually towards you; like the 'tree-drawing-on-back' man or the many references to "Scutter", with the constant failure of revealing his significance.
The two forces (the kid and Brother Justin {that's a Working Underneath pseudonym/sub group just waiting to happen}are bound to meet or clash pretty soon, but I can't imagine why.

There are only 2 or 3 episodes left. They've gotta show us/tell us something...

I think it's excellent actually, with all the hidden clues and symbolic references to tarot cards and the knights of templar, the historical aspects of the midwest and the death and destruction brought on by the dustbowl is fascinating to me. Seeing those dustbowl scenes and how people managed to survive through all that makes me realize that the people of today are soft in comparison to those that came before us. The thing I truly hate the most, is that it is gonna take HBO forever to play this thing out, 12 episodes and then we'll have to wait a year until the next season. I have always hated the "to be continued..." type of shows.
Uplift,
I think the tree guy is brother justin when he was younger, who is also the man that raped Appolonia and is the father of Sophie( I think he blacked that portion of his mind, just like he did when he broke that man's neck when he was a child). Ben is Scutters son, and when Ben has the dream where he's missing his legs and one arm he is Management. I am glad to see that at least some people in Hollywood are reacknowledging that sexy women are all sizes, not just the teeny ones that look like "Live Social X-Rays" :D

if you like the dust bowl story gotta check steinbeck's grapes of wrath, or even the movie with fonda, my point on bigs is you never see them depicted in provacative ways, not that they are not attractive

And I totally understood where you were coming from, it's just refreshing to see HBO celebrate big women. Did you see "Real Women Have Curves" a cute movie.

Do you have your own set of tarot cards or WHAT?? Lots of interesting theories and they all make sense. Now I can view watch with a little more clarity. Damn. Thanks, Suzanne T. I feel like I've been asleep for the whole series.
