Has anyone ever been to a NYE party and it was worth what you paid???

It seems to me people use New Year's Eve as an excuse to make as much money from party-goers as they can. I've paid a hefty price back in the day but got dinner, open bar and solid entertainment. That doesn't always happen though.

Has anyone been to a NYE party and paid through the nose only to realize at the end of the night they were cheated?! graemlins/cool_shades.gif

Just made arangements to a restaurant that was $32 per person now I need to cancel because that does not include dinner only 2drinks at the bar.
