Yet another Chicago party in Atlanta! This week we're having an S.O.S (save our SOUL) Saturday. in the remembrance of two great soul brothas Bernie Mac (PBUH)and The great Isaac Hayes (PBUH) whom we lost this past weekend and will truly miss.
Bernie Mac, a Chicago brotha, brought us laughter as a top comedian and an actor. He touched all our souls.
Isaac Hayes, A great writer, musician, composer, fed us soul through his (real) music.
Unlike the garbage we call HOUSE today (with some exceptions) He had a great part in House music which later became deephouse and now we just call it disco,funkjazz,boogie or simply SOUL. Todays music is all computerized therefor it lacks soul! Thats why I don't associate it with house anymore.
On a lighter side we will be celebrating the birth of a soul,my Brotha Miko Jones.
I've know him for at least 25 years. Partied with him at the box. True Box members should know this brother. He came a long way and still going strong.
Happy birthday Miko!
