One of my favorite parts of a night out is actually going back home with friends say at about 4 or 5am, everyone's tired yet there's still some energy in the air... what tracks do you like to play then?

I think that's the best time to play smooth tracks like "New Day" on Mainstreet (Round 1... or 2, I'm forgetting now) or "Thank u mum" by St-Germain.... mellow mellow track, minimal, yet the simplicity of those tracks are so beautiful. Another track that I dig down the same line is "Keep you Kimi" by Hird. Sensual. Hmmmmmmmmm.

around that time, I love playing, "Mysteries of love" by Fingers, Inc. It is a good song to see the sun rise to. graemlins/cool_shades.gif

At 4 or 5 am, either somebody's playing "Swallow The Sausage" or they're getting the fuck out! That's just me. Everybody's different. Continue......JMJ smile.gif

"Time Marches On" is good too. Because it is such a smooth song, it maintains the energy, but it isn't so busy thatit will bust up your groove. graemlins/cool_shades.gif

that's a good choice too...

One of our favorite things to do was afterthe party, go eat at diner (usually Golden Nugget on diversey or Steak and Egger on Cermak) then go to the lakefront and watch the sun come up.

What's so abnormal about that? Oh shit, I just fell in your trap. You made me explain... but I'm not erasing this :D

when I had my own apartment, we used to do it all the time after those Red Pepper parties because I was in walking distance. Those were some fun times... graemlins/cool_shades.gif

We usually have a walk along the beach after partying til 3 or 4... then crash at someone's place and place some deep deep shit. It's been hard, since I moved a year ago, to find people that like deep house, but I found some people that appreciate it.

I also like to play "Mande Lanme Ya" by Bayaka and Jephté Guillaume.... sooooooooo fvcking deep.

No other answer for me, but if im coming back in at that time these days, I'm luck enough to have friends with similar, diverse tastes to its going to be Neil Young. That mans work is the best thing u can listen to at that time in the morning, well in fact just about any time of the day!!

well if you take it off house for a minute, any Depeche Mode album with "get the balance right" on it was always good too. graemlins/cool_shades.gif

at that time of the morning

if still indulging in the party spirit and feeling pretty awake i would have to opt for something to keep me awake.#

if chilling out and relaxing then i would probably put on

morcheeba - big calm (whole album)
air - moon safari (whole album)
massive attack- protection (whole album)
masive attack - blue lines (whole album)
zero 7 (whole album)
any of LTJ bukems Earth albums

if any body really wants to sample some top class mellow chillout type grooves with plenty of instruments and groovy relaxing vibes then you wont go far wrong here with any of this lot.

that is if you dont already own these albums! ;)

Some John Coltrane or Miles Davis light some nag champas, roll the blunts and just kick it.

or, the full "Late Nite Sessions" mix by Harvey... just realized the first two songs I mentionned come from that CD...... subliminal. I like the last song with the electric guitar, that mix was wicked.
