Remember dubbing and selling mixtapes? The rules around this used to be very loose - it was the norm. DJ shops never had a problem letting locals sell their mixes on tape. That whole scene dried up in my area around the late 90's when CD mixes with every track licensed came about. And now you can download and burn mixes for fre from just about any DJ.

That's cool.

I would pay for a hot dj mix myself and not care much if the stuff was licensed. Not sure if I would sell one though.

What about the bootleg issue? I doubt anyone who's record is in the mix is getting royalties from the sale of the dj sets.
