Last night, I caught a 10 min. segment of "CSI: Miami". I don't watch much TV (you'll see why below), but it was on, so I watched for a bit. I think it was the season premier. The episode focused on a hit-and-run. Turns out the driver is a "brown" man. He has a brother. They are sons of a foreign world leader, but reside in Miami. They are not nice characters--running over people, drowning folks, etc. (read: Uday and Qusay Hussein). When David Caruso (lead investigator on CSI) discovers the circumstances of the two brothers--they have diplomatic immunity--he is incensed. It turns out that their father "helps" the US. Caruso's law enforcement buddy tells him that the father helps the US out in Iraq, specifically. According to him, when the US went into Iraq, it busted up many terror cells (read: since there were no WMDs, this revelation makes the US invasion and subsequent occupation, OK). However, the US cannot get any info. from the captives, since the US is unwilling to torture (read: hurrah for the US--we're the good guys, remember?!). However, Uday and Qusay's daddy is OK with torture (read: Saddam), resulting in the diplomatic immunity. Daddy tortures the captives and passes along the info to the US. This way the "next 9-11" is avoided (he actually said this--no need for inference). There's a reason they call it the "idiot box"...

P.S.--Follow the link below which chronicles the lack of media coverage when Bush finally admitted that there has been no proven link between Saddam and 911.
