you can add the mi gal(s) to that mix as well. Robot reppin! hooooooooooooo! the system was kicking. nice reggae tracks, Francois. Are you using a Pioneer EFX in the place?

my drunken white friend and Jimmy (the party-starters) sparked up the dancefloor while i got felt up by the dancefloor. Then I had to look for my drunken friend and to find out he already ditched me and mi gal. we spent over an hour looking and worrying for the well-being of that bitch. we slithered thru the packed house (on a monday nite!!!) with people's open-air, cheesy, moist pits right at my nose.. of course, the crowd always have the involuntary fist-pumping in the air when the king poodle jacks up the volume at the height of a semi drumroll beat of a nice techo track.

i was annoyed at my drunken white friend for killing an 90 minutes off my sleep.

deepspace: nice club and with a very good vibe.

sidenote: the "three amigos" rolled up in the joint in their early valentines red getup last nite.. it was so gay.

Are you using a Pioneer EFX in the place? Nope; Yamaha SPX-990. Here (http://www.deepspacenyc.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=25) is a link to some pics of the gear in question.

I love the EFX-500 real-time features, but find the sound quality to be lacking. I am hoping that Pioneer may be releasing a much better, sonically improved version in 2004.

Peace.

efx assigned to each channel would be hot, unlike the pioneer efx box

FK </font>[/QUOTE]i AGREE ON THE EFX-500; it works well on a small system. the sound system was kicking and the efx box was clear and very effective. have you ever owned any of those sound effects units that were strictly for raw reggae jams? sound clips like: bombs, siren, laser guns, thunder, a dude lippin off "bah BAh bah"?

props to you Mr. K. That shit was off the hook! Your command of that system and, in particular, your restraint in saving the full volume potential for only a few key knock-outs had me in awe.

I really enjoyed your set.

I also had one of those DJ moments where shit gets silent and you think to yourself "what would I play at this very moment?" and then you dropped the exact record I was thinking of. Weird how that happens sometimes. I was the guy that tried to come up to the booth and say what's up but you were really in the zone so I broke out.

I had just put it on a mixtape yesterday afternoon, using the ambient intro and everything. It's a good thing I wasn't really high or I might have started tripping on the psychic phenomemna of it all.
