that's right folks - in celebration of the release of their new album Morning Light (http://www.kingstreetsounds.com/KNG234.ram), the full Ananda Project troupe will be hitting Joe's Pub (that's 425 Lafayette Street, NYC) on Thursday, August 28th for a one-night only show to end all shows.
This WILL NOT be some watered-down, one vocalist, electronic show. This WILL be a rare treat.
The legendary Peter Daou will be opening the show, with a segue DJ set by DJ Shifty aka Craig Roseberry.
Tickets will be available through Telecharge. There will ONLY be 150 tickets sold for this exclusive show, so do not miss out - get your tix early (they should be available next week).
Tickets are $20.
See you there! smile.gif

JMNYC, you are the MAN!! graemlins/grinyes.gif One million thank yous for posting this info! I love Ananda Project! I have their first two CDs and I'm blown away by the lovely, melodic vibes these guys create. Cascades of Color never fails to raise a few goose bumps!!! That whole CD is just wonderful. I had to put it away so I wouldn't wear it out! I enjoyed the Remixed CD as well. I'm gonna write myself a note and post it on my PC monitor so that I can remember to get tickets for this event!!! I can only imagine the incredible high I'm going to get from hearing Ananda Project create their hauntingly beautiful vibes LIVE and in the flesh!!! Thanks again for this terrific heads up!!!

"The One" and "Suite Dreams" are my $HIT!!!!! I think I've played "The One" for almost a year straight at every single gig and it still isn't tired to me - those lyrics, Terrance's voice ... bliss! smile.gif "Suite Dreams" too - just absolutely brilliant! If you haven't picked up the new album, it is in stores in a week, and you can stream it online now at kingstreetsounds.com.
Glad you guys like ... just wait till you hear them live! You WILL be blown away.

Timmy, I believe the show will include Lydia, as well as Terrance Downs and Heather Johnson - but it's an "ANANDA PROJECT" show .

sorry, I don't quite understand your question, Ananda Project is Chris' group and he does all of the production for the group.
Quite contrary, U do understand it....
thanks for the answer
Man that dudes output is something else! Sometimes I cant believe what comes outta the speakers when I hear his tracks......almost eeee'ry time.....(looks like I got a acute case of hip-hop-itis....)
Another underrated producer, whose material
is greater than blistering!
Thanks JMNYC

Ahh, the show was off the hook! Special big ups to Lydia Rhodes hail.gif
They did "Glory, Glory", "Cascade of Colors", my personal favorite "Breaking Down" graemlins/cheering.gif , "Falling For You", and a touch of "Expand Your Mind" and stuff off the new CD including Ms. Rhodes on "Sweet Dreams". The show flowed nicely, well done, great energy. Very enjoyable nite. The Fender Rhodes was in full effect - I just love the sound of that instrument
Peter Daou, I personally enjoyed the 4 selections he premiered off his up coming cd, but I like that kind of keyboard, loungy, stuff.
