anyone see the UPS commercial with Gotan Project "El Capitalismo Foraneo" in the background? Found it funny that a big corporation would pic a track like that (although I'm not too sure about the political message behind that track).

Anyone else here dig Gotan Project? Their whole album "la revencha del tango" is wicked. Their music is pretty caliente.

so i'm in one of my favorite french restaurants grubbing on some crepes and this amazing cut is playing, turns out to be Gotan Project, three record stores later i cop it, awesome album,

I love that record. It got me through many a lazy stoned day on the beach last summer. I've picked up a remix 12" recently that Pepe braddock did. I wasn't crazy about his mix but there's another mix on the B-side that's really good. I think that album is gonna end up another down-tempo classic like Massive Attack's Mad Professor remix record.

Funnily enough for my sins for at least part of the week I work for a bit of an evil multinational myself and publish the Gotan Project's music: it was us that did the deal with UPS. Nice worldwide advert - the guys in the band are very happy with it. Glad you're enjoying the music.

Would recommend seeing them live when you get the chance... they're here in the UK in May and hopefullt in the States after that: very good live show - excellent mix of traditional tango, electronics, bits of other people's records DJ'd over the top and a fair dose of arty French pretention. Top night out for all the family!
