About Grand Pianoramax:
Grand Pianoramax has traveled the world this year in support of the new album The Biggest Piano In Town, and now introduce the stellar dance and downtempo remixes of the single The Hook, reimagined by the legendary DJ Spinna and the German production duo Stefan Rogall-m.path.iq, available at digital retailers on August 26.

Winner of the first Montreux Jazz Festival International Piano Solo Competition, Leo Tardin conceived Grand Pianoramax as a live keyboards/drums duo, blending powerful analog-synth bass lines, syncopated keys, organic drumming and freestyle spoken word improv/rap with occasional vocal guests.

Tailored to explore hybrid stylistic directions in their most essential renditions, Tardin developed the ambitious Grand Pianoramax project by joining forces with first-class NYC drummers Deantoni Parks (Kudu, The Mars Volta), Jojo Mayer, and Adam Deitch (Talib Kweli, John Scofield). To add to the unique sound, Tardin invited in some of the most creative poets/MCs on the scene today, including Americans Mike Ladd, Celena Glenn (Coco Rosie) and Invincible (Platinum Pied Pipers), and French hip-hop/folk artist Spleen.

Grand Pianoramax’s latest album, The Biggest Piano In Town, continues to generate rave reviews and features in publications such as Downbeat, BPM, XLR8R, Jazzthing, Jazzthetik and Vibrations. The hot single “The Hook” has now been remixed to allow listeners to experience the project from a variety of sonic perspectives. DJ Spinna’s sophisticated harmonic sense also brings new elements and expands the soundscape of the track, while retaining its melodic feel. The Stefan Rogall-m.path.iq mixes provide a more energetic approach, picking up the tempo and highlighting the track’s groove.

Tardin, a native of Geneva, Switzerland, has been based in New York since his graduation from the New School University in 2000. He has performed and recorded with legendary jazz musicians Roy Ayers, Frank Morgan, Toots Thielemans, Charles Tolliver, Dave Liebman, Enrico Rava, Erik Truffaz, and The Last Poets, and co-led a quartet with harmonica phenomenon Grégoire Maret in his teens. Grand Pianoramax recently finished a ten-city US tour opening for the legendary Maceo Parker.
