Lil Louie mix about 30 minutes into the mix, right after The Lood's "Shoutin out" (http://www.deephousepage.com/louie26.ram)

groove,
the vocalist sounds like corina joseph to me, and i think the song might be "wanna get down" by bassment jaxx.

those two sure made some dope records back in those days.

That's definitely Corrina Joseph, but I don't think that mix is on the record cover you displayed. I have three copies of that record, but I don't recall the mix that Louie is playing on that record. It must be a remix or something else. Personally, I like the original mix the best. It's a classic IMO.

there was another track they made from those vocals. it could be that too.
It was on pink label Atlantic Jaxx release.(the one that came out after samba Magic)
Unfortunately I'm not able to look it up at the moment.

I remember going to see Basement Jaxx in the Crypt having bought this record the week before. Neither of them had a copy of it at the time, so they were apparently a little miffed when my friend told them I'd found a copy in Brixton Our Price. :D

Also saw Corrina sing all the tunes mentioned above live once they'd moved up the road to the George IV. I think she has a superb voice with a really unique timbre to it, although I can't say I've liked the songs I've heard since she did the early Jaxx stuff as much. Isn't the story that they 'discovered' her after hearing her singing at her desk at work???

Speaking of Lood's "Shoutin out"... I've been looking for a copy of this for ages - has anyone seen one recently?
