View Full Version : Just a little help....
What would you do if someone you considered a good friend lied to you. Not once, but multiple times. Would you still be there friend or what?

Obviously you can't trust them. Don't sound like much of a friend to me.

Sometimes people lie for unknown reason's. Look you in your face and lie. Let them go. They aren't worth your tears. If they can't be honest to you them let "him" fly.
I have one true friend. Who has never lied to me...NEVER. I recenlty lied to her, kept something from her. That hurt her more than anything because she is so honest with me she didn't expect nor did she expect it from the other person. I hurt because of the damage i caused her. She forgave me, but i know she hasn't forgotten. But she forgave because she loved me and knew that it was only a mistake. Don't take advantage of your friends...hearts break all the time. just think about the shoe being on the other foot.

Forgive them.
I'm the only one saying this, so be it!
However, if you feel there is a pattern, and you feel that moving on is appropriate, then do so. Let them know, though.
You can still forgive and keep your distance. Continuous lying could be a nuisiance, and, more importantly, a hinderance (or potentially worse), so there may be no other alternative but to keep distance.
But the forgiving part heals YOUR state of mind (lack of forgiveness eats the unforgiver's insides out).

It hurts when you are betrayed... when you are betrayed time and time again, how long must you sit there and stand for it only because of your friendship and/ or commitment?
There comes a time in everyones life when they must move on from situations that hinder growth... hinder understanding... that decision is painful, but to enable growth (for the individual) and establish boundaries (with the so-called friend) one must move on...
you forgive, for your own sanity, of course... it does nothing to run around with resentments... but still... the offender must be removed from one's inner circle...
yeah, it totally depends on what they lied about.
but perpetual liars need to get dropped.
