One day I was going through some of my records and I was amazed by how many 12 inches and albums I had by Jamiroquai, Incognito and the Brand New Heavies. I didn't realize it before because my records are unorganized which is why I'll be making shelving this weekend. What artist do you have the most records by?
Koffy Brown

with a ton of 95North mixes coming in second.
From farther back, Bob Marley, The Smiths/Morrissey. I also have a bunch of Naked Music stuff. I'm pretty big on compilation cds 'cause they give you a taste of what else is out there - so add a ton of compilation cds to the list.

Your impeccable taste for aural ambrosia mirrors my own! smile.gif ;) I am a HUGE fan of The Brand New Heavies, Incognito and Jamiroquai. I have near complete discographies of all three groups. IMHO, real bands like these are sadly absent from the Black music scene. Live instrumentation, great vocals, creativity and originality are hallmarks of these great bands! I love the sounds they create!! Do you have any Down To The Bone, Heavyshift, Physical Therapy or Nightflyte? If not, check 'em out bruh! graemlins/thumbsup.gif That said, back to the topic of the thread... The artists that dominate my music collection are Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Miles Davis, Incognito and Fleetwood Mac.

HML, how you've been doing brother? graemlins/OLA.gif listen, you mentioned about phyiscal therapy...how is their sound like? i've heard some samples of "down to the bone" and i really like their latter day take on jazz-funk. graemlins/thumbsup.gif
as far as prominent artists in my collection is concerned, it's peppered with several releases by Evelyn "Champagne" King, Change (got all the 1980-1985 albums), O'Jays, Deodato, One Way, George Benson, a few Fatback albums, and a handful of Joe Simon & Tyrone Davis 45s (particularly the Sound Stage 7/Dakar years respectively)...
Kelvy!!! How are you?!? :D Your long lost bro HML is still hangin' in there!! Buncha stuff goin' on in my world... and I bet yours too! We need to get caught up! Can you email me? I lost your email addy. :( Talk to you soon brother! And now... back to the thread topic! Sorry Soulful!

I think I have more Prince than anything because he has more bootleg material out than any other artist. Other than that, I would say A Tribe Called Quest, Patrick Adams/Leroy Burgess, and material by Gamble & Huff. I have a Gamble and Huff section in my collection.
