Just a note to appeal to anyone in the west end of London this thurs..

Will be having it 4th party regular monthly session at it's current venue THIRST in Soho . This month we celebrate Vice promoter/organiser Eric's birthday and we have a special guest , female vocalist Alec Sundrae performing alongside DJ Cartel ( Cafe Recorings ) during his set ! .
Joint musical selectors will be as ever myself and Ben Williams ( Reckless rec ) .
So if you are west side thias thursday night and deep and soulful underground dance music , new and old is your vice then please join us .

On Thursday May 8th deep house maestro Danny Krivit will be coming to town for an exclusive performance at East London's bastion of underground music, Plastic People. Danny's inception into NY's music fraternity evolved as he became a key player in the scenes growth in NY from the early 70's. His most notable project has been NY's Body and Soul which saw him team up with friends François K and Jo Claussell for the seminal Sunday morning shindig Body & Soul which held court in Arc, (also home to Tenaglias Be Yourself). Body & Soul was like a house party that got too big for someone's living room, so they had to find a more appropriate venue for it. It was a place where everyone feels welcome, regardless of age, sex, colour or social attributes. Since they believe that dancing is a universal language, Body and Soul strived to play a wide variety of different sounds and styles, new or old, without bias towards or against any specific format. The accent is on deep, soulful grooves with an uplifting message.
Since Body and Soul came to an end Danny has been focusing on his solo career culminating in his last album Expansions, released on the former Strut records and his DJ career. Expect to hear sultry deep grooves interlaced with the NY finesse that has made Body and Soul special..
