Can any one recommend where I can get some sound proof padding.
I am looking to doll up my music room. It seems that to sound is just bouncing all over the place.

I just want to control the sound in the room.
I am looking for padding that looks like this. http://www.djedwhite.com/p/pics/ed/studio/.normal/PIC00060.JPG
Can anyone help me please!

Check out my response in the studio thread. And before you get it, keep in mind that the guy above wasted alot of money. It is not nesecary to completly cover your walls with that stuff, Ofter a few 3x5 peices and a few corner peices is all you need. If you have the chance, go to a book store and check out some home studio books, they usually tell you exactly hot to sound proof properly. :D

Granted, that may be $1000 if I were using Aurelex foam.....

Thanks guys for all the help and tips. I checked out all the sites and also found some on my own.

I see the 12"x12" squares but, I also found a site that sells Acoustic Eggcrate Foam 4' X 8' X 1 1/8" sheets with 2 lbs density.

Are the sheets as good as the little squares?
I would think the sheets would be better not because they are cheaper but, there would be less seames on the wall.

I am trying to cover the entire room including the ceiling which comes out to 395sq ft.

Compairing the prices between the squares and the sheets the sheets are much cheaper and covers about 10 sq ft less than the square packages.

One 4'x8 by 1 1/2" (32sq ft.)= $37.50
One box of 12"x12"x2"(44sq ft.)= $99.00
One box of 12"x12"x2"(42sq ft.)= $199.00

Which way should I go?

I would go with the foam that I use. They are willing to work custom packages out, so you can get exactly what you need.
