I got taken yesterday...twice.I purchased a Motown promo with Love Hangover.It had a 9 min. version.I thought it was the breakdown version"I don't want,want no cure..."

It's the Frankie Knuckles version.The damn record even looks just like a Motown promo form the 70's.The only good thing is I now have an extra copy of Date with the rain.This version is over 9 mins. long.

The other one I was taken on was the Ballroom records single where there was supposed to be that Salsoul 212 joint.It has here we go again on it.I'm pissed off at that shit.

Is this some legit Motown studio engineer re-edit? Are there previously unreleased parts of the song, or is it not even a re-edit and it was even recorded at this length at one point?
Or is this some DJ Re-edit?

The only one I ever come across is that OG 2-3 minute version, and then the not so legit re-edit. I am about to do a re-edit for personal use, so if this has unreleased parts or is a rarer longer recording of it, then I will search it out.

I know it ain't legit holmes.Why did ya think I said it looks like an original.Hell,they even have 1976 in the print for the ove hangover.

There are still a lot of counterfeit copies of the "Love Hangover/I Want You" 12-inch floating around, too...

The time Love Hangover was released with the break down of " I don't want no want no want love hangover" and beats by themselves was on the DiscoNet series and then later as a terible copied version on a bootleg. Even the Disconet version the quality is not very good unfortunately. Motown never released it as fas as I know as a Motiown issues ecept for the regular version.
