Just thought I would share this pic. This was when I was really into wrestling. Nowadays the storylines are outrageous and ridiculous. I miss the good old days ....

Piper had quite a few (VERY BAD) flicks back in the day:

None are worth the film they were recorded on, although I could have sworn he starred in some horror flick back in the 80's that was so-so. Be sure to check the bargain bin or your local city dumpster for any of these titles.

Didn't realize that the British Bulldog passed away last year:

http://www.cooldudesandhotbabes.com/graphics/bulldoglogo.jpg

Former WWF Intercontinental, Tag Team, European and Hardcore title holder the British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith was found dead yesterday in British Columbia. Smith, 39, suffered an apparent heart attack although family members didn't confirm the cause of death yet.

Smith was going through some trouble in the past couple of years, going from jail to rehab after hitting his wife Diana Hart and having problems with the Hart family. He also faced trial for allegedly threatening his brother-in-law Bruce Hart last year although he ended up winning the case.

His battle with drug addiction unfortunately took over his career as a professional wrestler and once he was released from the WWF back in October of 2000, his life went downwards. At the time of his death, he was with his girlfriend, Andrea Hart, who also happens to be Bruce Hart's wife. He and Diana have two children, Harry, 16, and Georgia, 14.

The Bulldog just wrestled with his son two weeks ago in a tag match in Winnipeg. Bulldog signed with the WWF back in August of 1999 after some controversy since his brother-in-law Owen died while performing a few months earlier.

Smith's greatest moment in the WWF was in Summer of 1992 when in front of over 80,000 screaming UK fans inside the Wembley Stadium in London, England, defeated family member Bret Hart to become the Intercontinental Champion.

Davey’s first WCW run gave him a brief run as a main eventer, teaming with Sting against Vader and Sid and having an amazing match challenging Vader for the WCW title at a Clash of the Champions that Summer. After his WCW run ended he returned to the WWF at Summerslam 1994 sitting at ringside for Bret and Owen Hart’s cage match. His first year back was up and down, as he basically played sidekick to Bret in his family feud (But started the first in a series of great matches with Owen.) He “Went the distance” in the shortest (and one of the worst) Royal Rumbles in 1995 going the full 35 minutes with HBK before being thrown out. They would later have another stellar singles match on RAW. It looked like he and partner Lex Luger in the Allied Powers were going to take the straps off of Owen Hart and Yokozuna, but they didn’t and a few weeks later Lex Luger showed up on Nitro.

In the meantime, Bulldog cut his hair and turned on Diesel, taking Jim Cornette on as his manager. Another run at the top had him battle Diesel at IYH in Winnipeg in October of 1995 in a not great match. He had an excellent bout with Bret Hart as the main event of the Stu Hart tribute show in December of 1995, (Geez I just realized how many guys on that show are dead. Spiccoli, Owen, Davey, Pillman…) days before facing Bret in a bloody and great match at IYH. The match, not as good as their IC title battle, was still a damn good match.

Davey probably had most of his success as a heel from that point on. He had a weak feud with Ahmed Johnson before his previously mentioned feud with HBK. He lost to Sid at Summerslam 1996 and then began his tag title run with Owen Hart. There run from September 1996 to May of 1997 is the last team to have a lengthy uninterrupted run with the belts. As well,
he was crowned the first European Champion, beating Owen in Germany in a five star match. He would hold that belt until September. The summer of 1997 represented probably that last great run of his career, in the Hart Foundation. The family was together, Brian Pillman and Owen Hart were still alive, and the feud was hot.

However his decision to pay a stiff fine and go with Bret Hart to WCW was the beginning of the end. He was buried in WCW, mostly teaming with Jim Niedhart. Being slammed on a trap door at Fall Brawl 1998 lead to a staph infection that nearly killed him and his being let go by WCW. He trained for a WWF comeback amid controversy and some truly cruel
comments from Bret Hart. He started strong, giving Stephanie McMahon “Amnesia” at the UK PPV (If only that had been true!) and having a decent match with the Rock at the October 1999 PPV.

Unfortunately his habits started to catch up with him. Davey’s last WWF match was in Calgary in May of 2000 against Steve Blackman and it was a horrible, horrible match in which Davey couldn’t take a bump. He no-showed the next days Edmonton show and was subsequently let go.

As has been covered here, Davey hoped to one day team with his extremely talented son Harry, but sadly they only had the Winnipeg independent shows together.

found it.

Their name is Adkisson, but the world knows them as the Von Erichs - and to many they are the first family of Professional Wrestling - or should have been. Theirs is a family which was marked by enormous popularity and extraordinary success - but even more so for the continuous tragedy which has struck over and over through the years.

Triumph and Tragedy

The family patriarch, Jack Adkisson was a former collegiate football star at Southern Methodist University and played professionally with the Dallas Texans. He began his wrestling career under the name Fritz Von Erich, a villain working under the premise of being a Nazi sympathizer, with the accompanying goose step march and Iron Cross. As a promoter, he worked with the governing bodies of the NWA in promoting the sport in his native Texas. When a dispute arose among the NWA members, Fritz formed World Class Wrestling, headquartered in Dallas, Texas. His dream was to build an entertainment empire - his plan was to use his sons as the foundation upon which to build that empire.

The first of the Von Erich boys to carry the family banner was David, the most compelling and charismatic of all the brothers in the Ring. Following in his path were brothers Michael, Chris, Kerry and Kevin. Over a period of time in the early 1980's, the brothers were known and admired world wide and competed in and won championships in several of the existing wrestling promotions in the US and abroad. Kerry, a discus thrower at the University of Houston (and an Olympic hopeful), would go on to win the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and the WWF Intercontinental Championship, among other titles. With five young gifted brothers in the Ring and a father with years of promotional experience, the future for the Von Erich family could not have seemed any brighter - but that bright light of optimism would evolve into a brief flicker symbolizing the fading dreams of a family and the most tragic paths that the sport has ever known.

The family first suffered tragedy in 1959 when the oldest son, Jack Jr. was accidentally electrocuted on the family's farm. Twenty five years later, tragedy struck again when David died of an infection while in Japan on a wrestling tour. Three years later, after being forced to walk away from the sport after an almost fatal bout with toxic shock syndrome, Michael took his own life, overdosing on tranquilizers. Distraught over his brothers deaths and his inability to excel as a wrestler, Chris shot himself and died in 1991. After losing a foot in a 1986 motorcycle accident, Kerry found himself addicted to painkillers. Despite his continuing success as the family star, the pain proved more than he could cope with. A year after pleading no contest to forging a prescription for painkillers, and days after being indicted for drug possession, Kerry took his own life with a self-inflicted gunshot to the chest. Kevin Von Erich is now the only living son from the famed family and carries the burden of his brothers dreams and expectations with him.

As extraordinary as the brothers early success and potential for the future was, so too was the horribly tragic manner in which they fell one after another. As much as the family was loved, respected and admired, they are now looked upon with sadness, compassion and bewilderment. They are looked upon as the family of unfulfilled potential - and as the dynasty that should have been.

Damn! You are right, Rated M. Just found this on the web:

Miss" Elizabeth Hulette, former WWF & WCW personality and exwife to Randy "Macho Man" Savage, died this morning at Kennestone Hospital in Cobb County, GA, after an apparent overdose.

Elizabeth's boyfriend, Pro Wrestler Lex Luger, called 911 this morning when she was unresponsive. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died.
Lex (real name Larry Pfohl) was questioned and released, but later arrested when authorities found drugs inside his home. He is expected to spend the night in jail before being released.

Authorities had been called out to the house on Easter Weekend to investigate a Domestic Disturbance. Elizabeth was sporting a shiner, but claimed she got it when she tripped while playing with her dog. The media and authorities are being quick to point out that Luger is not a suspect in Elizabeth's death and that foul play is not suspected. At this time there is no official cause of death, nor has the type of drugs Luger is under arrest for possessing been released.

Randy Savage posted condolences on his website. Elizabeth was 42.
