(not to be confused with the fantastic sound system of the same name)
This party takes place weekly Tuesday nights @ in the East Village mod cave
DRINKLAND (339 East 10th @ Avenue B).
Headed by myself (Jon Martin)and my long-time partner in crime Markus Rice of Expansions/Destiny fame,
OPUS will be an early party (8pm - 2am) specifically designed for those who like to get their mid-week party on but still need to have energy and money left over for the rest of the week.
Drinkland offers up the most affordable drinks in the city (top shelf mixed drinks are about $5, beer and wine are $4 - plus we're running specials till 11), there's no cover, free munchies, and it's beautifully situated directly across from Tompkins Square Park. Markus and I will strive to serve up musical excellence on a clear but not overbearing sound system... and if our preview party was any sign, it's sure to be lots of fun, too. OPUS is defined as a creative work, especially a musical composition, numbered to designate the order of a composer's works. Therefore, this Tuesday evening, we present OPUS TWO.
