That town is hurtin' for house music. I called myself going to Studio54 to see what it was about, it was a Rave party. Boy did they bastardize that name, they even had the nerve to have the halfmoon with the lights going from the nose to the brain.

I was totally disappointed. I spent all of 20 minutes there before I bailed.

I don't think I went to one party where they really played good music, and I was there for 6 days.

If you are going to Vegas, better bring your walkman with you if want to hear good music.

Besides the music scene how was Vegas overall?

It was hard meeting someone out there unless you like to switch to the otherside (like a lot of brothers I noticed out there). It's all about shopping, gambling, and partying out there now. Oh and eating.

I did end up meeting a really nice young lady (and it didn't cost me a dime).

I noticed a certain type of people love to get drunk, act stupid and graemlins/puke.gif in the streets at the end of the night.

I learned how to play craps and toured some of the suburban areas as well.

The clubs out there are GEARED towards tourists. What did you REALLY expect?? I haven't been in a dance club in Las Vegas since the Shark Club closed years ago....JMJ

I was there about 5 years ago and stayed in the MGM !The hotel was amazing and the whole place was pretty cool. The one thing lacking was "Music".i went to some big club and it was a mix up of pop,hip hop,ect ect.It was a good laugh as i was there with a friend and the woman in the place definately liked the scottish accent!I would much rather have been in some dark dingy basement tho listening to sum good sounds tho!Next trip i make to the states will be NYC!

if anyone is driving to Vegas, forget it! the 15 is closed due to flash floods and the detour takes you out 70 miles. Go to Pachanga in San Diego instead.

I guess you could say the sky was crying after I left. graemlins/cool_shades.gif

I too was out there a few weeks ago and YES, it is hurting for quality dance music, but you can't really expect a town full of pimps, hookers, tourists, just turned 21 year olds, and phony baloney schmoes to get the serious ish up in there - Do you?
