I've just installed a pioneer 106 DVD writer to my PC which replaces a standard dvd rom drive. I've noticed that there is no digital output to the soundcard from the Pioneer writer but there was a 2 pin lead from the original dvd rom drive to the soundcard. Any reason why this should be or should there be a digital output ?
