Papa Records pres. Messages Xmas Party @ Salmon & Compass
It’s that time of year again and Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the Papa Records Presents 'Messages' Xmas party! After four years of putting on our annual shindig at Cargo we decided to up sticks and do it at one of favourite venues in London, the Salmon & Compass where we’ve got an even later license than usual so you lot are going be happy!
This year Papa Records celebrated it’s seventh year in the business and has quickly established it’s self as one of the most credible soulful record labels around. This year has been our busiest to date but we’re now looking forward to getting down to our favourite tunes with all of you that have bought our releases!
Joining our resident 'Messages' dj Matt L-S, for this special session and playing a selection of deep soulful house through to disco and soul from the archives, we’ve flow in one of the one of the best talents in the world, Patrick Wilson to guest for us on the night!
San Francisco's Patrick Wilson is quickly becoming one of the most sought after DJs out there. Patrick made his first Southport Weekender appearance back in May and can often be seen playing side by side with the likes of Louie Vega, Timmy Regisford, Frankie Feliciano and other house music heavyweights.
He is part of the Ricanstruction Label, which is run by his close friend & mentor Frankie Feliciano and often produces excellent mixes for Frankie's 'Crossfade Radio' podcast. He's the spiritual founder of the nulife party, an evening dedicated to deepsoul culture.. house and soul lovers from miles around come to hear his sets and he's well known worldwide amongst (true) heads.
Warming things up for us on the night will be the Souled boys, so we do hope you can join us, as this is going to be one session that shouldn’t be missed!
