I was having this convo with a friend the other night... we were talking about how it's gonna suck getting old...my friend didn't want to live past 40. I'd like to live longer than that... but to me it depends on wether I've got kids and a family or not...although we usually don't get to pick when we go....If I've got kids I'd say 70-75, no kids maybe 60 tops...
graemlins/eusa_dance.gif Cheery topic.... I know, but I'm just curius to hear everyone's take on this... My Grandma will be 93 in January she was one of the oldest of 9 brother & sisters and she's outlived every one of them....she's a very religious lady but she dosen't understand why she has outlived all of her younger brothers and sisters, her husband, and most of her friends....

As long as I'm healthy enough and in good spirit! I don't mind growing old.
I'm trying to get bitten by a vampire.. so I can stay eternally young.. Then when I get tired of living I can put a stake thru my own heart... biggrinangel.gif

I'd like to live long enough to see my daughter achieve the things I have and be better at it.
Long enough to see her child(ren), see her become successful and buy daddy a car he can't afford.
Hopefully by then I won't be to old to go to the bathroom by myself and can still "get busy" when I want to.

True Wild 1, when I was younger ...
"hope I die before I get old"
My Generation - The Who
kinda off putting when Roger Daltry (the guy that sang it) actually became old and bought a Salmon Farm.
When I was 15 I though 40, now i'm heading towards 35 I am changing my mind..
Death chooses the time and I shall not be scared of it.
Eternal life would be an utter bind.

there is something much bigger beyond this life or temporary body... everything is changing always (birth, death etc...), but this thing has been forever and will stay forever.

I hope to have completed my tasks by the time I'm 70-75. That a good range for me. My dad died at 60, definitely too young. My mom was 74 and although it was still too soon, I could at least comfort myself by knowing she had a good run.
But honestly, if it happened today I'd be disappointed, but unafraid. (Sure, I say that now!)

The key to getting older is to do it gracefully.

Death is a part of life. To live is to die. It is natural, as all things cease to be at one point or the other.
Now to die to each day, is to live wisely. ;)

I have faith that I will live until I've done my work in this world. I hope to neither be old and frail nor young and naive. At whatever age I manage to meet life's and God's expectations of me, I will be done here and look forward to experiencing what's next.
"The race is not won by the fast nor the swift, But to he that endureth until the end", and no matter what anyone tells you, "Happiness is not a matter of sitting back and counting the years happiness is making every year count"
In the words of the immortal Frankie Crocker
"May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live. May you live to be a hundred, and me a hundred minus a day, so I'll never know good people like you have passed away."

I honestly feel like I'm going to live to 110 or so. I'm 35, and feel 19. My father is 75, and looks and gets around like 50. But I'll see in time, I guess smile.gif
